FAQ

  • What is going to happen to the artifacts from the school?
We have engaged an architect and a general contractor to create a proposal for the first location we want to permanently house the artifacts. This first location may not prove a success. We are still considering other options for this final location.
  • When are you going to open the time capsules?
We plan to have a celebration of the installation of the final artifacts once installed in their permanent location. At that celebration, we will open the time capsules together. The contents will be photographed and shared on this website for all to see.
  • Where are the proceeds going for the price of the brick?
The proceeds raised from the sale of the bricks go towards the permanent memorial to be erected as the final resting place of the LHSS artifacts. A final location for the artifacts has yet to be determined. The money and project is being managed by TAG Foundation, a small community 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Chicago, IL.
  • What details are available about the bricks?
Each brick was recovered from the site of Luther High School South as the building was being demolished. Great care was taken to retrieve bricks in the whole form. They have not been treated with any preservation materials, etc.
  • Is there a refund if I don’t like the brick I received?
There are no refunds or exchanges for any of the bricks purchased as souvenirs.
  • Can I choose the brick I want?
If you have purchased a brick to be shipped, you cannot select the brick. If you pick up the brick in person by the fellow Brave supervising in person distribution, he/she may allow you to select a brick.
